Create a Life you Love
Like many things in life, happiness and contentment can be thought of as a bell curve. On one extreme side, we have severe depression, crippling anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. On the opposite extreme we have a blissful state of being, free from worry, disease, and with perfect satisfaction in life.
How can we make it from one side of the curve to the other? How can we even make it somewhere between the two ? When we are really suffering, we are in survival mode asking "how can I just make it through the day?". The idea of deep peace and lasting happiness is not an option. In fact, most people settle for this kind of mediocrity in their lives even if they don't suffer from "mental illness". This type of therapy is based on the fundamental belief that every single person is capable of achieving a higher state of consciousness and bringing greater meaning to their lives. However, each one must be willing to put in the work. The path to self healing is not an easy one, but it is well worth it.
"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right." This statement is just as exciting as it is terrifying. Why? Because it gives us the power to change our minds which will ultimately change our life situation. Simultaneously, it puts a great responsibility on us. This kind of responsibility is exactly what most people don't want to take on. The western system has thrived off people preferring to take a pill or have someone else "fix" them and their problems. It is a business of illness and makes profits when we are kept sick. Empowering people to actually take back their responsibility and heal themselves is a threat to the system at large.
This type of therapy ranges in degrees depending on the individual. Some of us are struggling through a challenging life transition and questioning how to continue on. Others may appear to have things "in order" but inside they are falling apart. There may be a general feeling of discontent like something is missing, or that you "should" be happy but for some reason you are not. Addiction is running rampant for us all, and I am not only talking about drugs and alcohol. These are the most common things we think of when we hear the word "addiction" but addiction encompasses a much larger spectrum. This includes maladaptive thought patterns and toxic attachments which lead to dangerous coping mechanisms. There are many reasons people seek help and I am happy to be of service in any way I can. Various treatments and modalities will be offered depending on each persons healing process.
